  • Distinguishing Characteristics Native American male. Black hair, brown eyes. Garcia has a tattoo of a large cross on his forehead and a tattoo of the phrase "Native Pride" on the front of his neck. His hair was long at the time of his disappearance, and he wore it in a ponytail.

Details of Disappearance

Garcia was last seen in Kern County, California on February 4, 2017. He was hiking with a companion in the Kern River Canyon when they got separated near Highway 178. Garcia disappeared and has never been heard from again, and an extensive search turned up no sign of him.

Authorities believe it's possible Garcia got a ride out of the area with a passing motorist. He was homeless at the time of his disappearance, making him difficult to trace. His case remains unsolved.
