    Details of Disappearance

Ivan was last seen in Tallahassee, Florida on May 8, 2014. He messaged his best friend saying he was going to run away and inviting him along. The friend didn't come with him, though, and Ivan left alone. At around midnight, he got on his black and orange bike and left his home in the 300 block of Majestic Lane off Highway 20 and never returned. He has never been heard from again. Ivan left his cellular phone behind, but not before wiping it and restoring it to its factory settings. He also left behind his identification. His bicycle has never been located.

Earlier in the evening, Ivan's girlfriend's mother had discovered the two had been sending each other sexually explicit messages on their phones, and she told him she was going to report it to their school. Ivan had also been grounded by his parents a week before that. Authorities believe he ran away from home, but it's highly unusual for a runaway to stay out of touch with any of all their family members and friends and not use their social media accounts for years, as Ivan apparently has.

Ivan was born in El Salvador and moved to the United States with his family in 2008. They spent several months in Ohio before settling in Tallahassee in 2009. His parents stated he enjoys making charcoal drawings, particularly of sports cars and hot rods. His case remains unsolved.
