    Details of Disappearance

Sussette was last seen at a barn near her residence outside Troy, Missouri at 10:00 a.m. on June 22, 2016. She and her husband, William, were arguing at the time. The couple was in the process of a divorce at the time, but were still living together. They operated Snow Hill Nursery, a plant nursery on the property of their home seven miles northeast of Troy. Sussette has never been heard from again.

The day after Sussette's disappearance, William's body was found in his truck, hidden behind some trees in Bellflower, Missouri, about 25 miles west of his home. He had committed suicide using a .357 revolver which was found by his body. Although William died of a single gunshot wound, the .357 had been fired twice.

Police found an audio recording device and Sussette's cellular phone inside a washing machine inside the couple's residence. There was a recording of what they believe is the sound of William assaulting Sussette. Due to the circumstances of her disappearance, investigators believe she met with foul play.

Sussette worked as a nurse at the emergency department of Mercy Hospital in Lincoln County at the time of her disappearance. Extensive searches have turned up no sign of her or her body; her case remains unsolved.
