Dark brown hair, hazel eyes. Bird wears eyeglasses and upper and lower dentures. He has multiple scars on his body and six tattoos on his arms. Clothing/Jewelry Description: A gray tank top, blue jeans and an eagle necklace. Medical Conditions: Bird suffers from multiple sclerosis and depression. His mother stated he was addicted to crack cocaine and painkillers at the time of his disappearance, and he also took anti-depressants. His multiple sclerosis confined him to a wheelchair for weeks at a time. Bird is classified as disabled.
Details of Disappearance
Bird was last seen boarding a Greyhound bus in Wilmington, North Carolina on May 30, 2007. He had visited his mother and was on his way home to Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The next day, he called his mother and told her he had arrived in Rocky Mount. He has never been heard from again. His mother says it is uncharacteristic of him to be out of touch with her. Bird was carrying a backpack and a CD player with a headset at the time of his disappearance.Bird had no money at the time of his disappearance; he was unable to work because of his medical conditions, and was not eligible for disability payments because he has a criminal record for drug offenses. His mother stated he was trying to turn his life around, but drug rehabilitation centers would not accept him because of his medical conditions. Investigators believe he left voluntarily, but his mother believes he may have been murdered. Few details are available in his case.
