Britto was last seen with her mother, Wendy Camp, and Camp's sister-in-law, Lisa Kregear, on May 29, 1992. Camp had recently received visitation rights to see her young son, and she, Kregear and Britto visited him at his father's home in Shamrock, Oklahoma that day. She had not seen him for several months prior to the visit. Camp's husband told authorities that his wife called him from a pay phone in Shamrock at 5:00 p.m. and said the visit had gone well and they were on their way home to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Camp's former mother-in-law, Beverly Noe, was supposed to provide transportation in her 1983 Audi, as Camp had no other means of travel. She stated she and Camp had an argument in the car and Noe asked the two women and Britto to get out at a Wal-Mart store in Chandler, Oklahoma at 6:00 p.m. They never arrived home and have not been heard from again.

Camp's husband reported their disappearances to the Oklahoma City police at 10:30 p.m. that day, and the next day he filed reports with the police in Bristow, Oklahoma where Noe lived. He said he could think of no reason that his wife and sister would want to disappear voluntarily with Britto, and stated Camp had always kept her family informed of her whereabouts. He had been concerned for Camp's safety during her visit with her son and had insisted Kregear accompany her. Noe and her relatives stated they were unaware that Camp, Kregear and Britto had not made it home safely until the Bristow police officials contacted them.

No one besides Noe claims to have seen Camp, Kregear or Britto in Chandler on the day they went missing. Foul play is suspected in the three females' cases, but few details are available regarding their disappearances.
