    Details of Disappearance

Contos was last seen in the F section of Palm Coast, Florida on May 9, 2015. He was supposed to visit a friend in South Carolina, but never arrived there and has never been heard from again. He was reported missing on May 17. On May 20, his white four-door 1997 Lincoln Town Car with Florida license plates was found abandoned in the parking lot of an Ace Hardward Store at St. Joe Plaza along Palm Coast Parkway in Palm Coast.

Contos had lived in a mobile home in the 5800 block of Apricot Lane in Daytona North, Florida for about ten years prior to his disappearance, but he was planning to return to Connecticut, where he used to live and where his relatives live. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and going to swap meets, and he's described as a self-reliant man who was well-known in his community. He was in close contact with his family, but none of them have heard from Contos since two days before he was last seen. When police checked his residence, they found nothing unusual or out of place.

Foul play is suspected in Contos's case, which remains unsolved.
