    Details of Disappearance

Cunningham lived in Colorado at the time of his disappearance, but he went missing from Marietta, Georgia. He was last seen at 9:00 p.m. on August 4, 1984. He said he was driving to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia and would return that night, but he never did. At 3:00 a.m. on August 5, Cunningham's vehicle was sighted parked on southbound Interstate 59 outside Birmingham, Alabama. The vehicle's driver was ticketed and the name written down as David Cunningham, but when the police officer was contacted two weeks later, could not recall whether the driver had in fact been Cunningham.

Cunningham has never been heard from again and his vehicle is also missing. It's a yellow 1976 Buick Century coupe with a white top, a CB radio antenna, and a military base sticker on the left side of the front bumper. His case remains unsolved.
