    Details of Disappearance

Jackson was last seen in Seattle, Washington on May 3, 1983. She has never been heard from again. Jackson was involved with prostitution at the time of her disappearance. She disappeared at the height of the Green River Killer's murders. She was never reported missing; her disappearance was discovered years later, the police sought her as a possible witness in the Green River case and found out her family hadn't heard from her in over a decade.

The Green River Killer was eventually identified as Gary Leon Ridgway; a photo of him is posted below this case summary. In 2003, Ridgway pleaded guilty to 48 counts of murder and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. He claimed he killed all his victims in King County, Washington, almost all of them during the early- to mid-1980s. The bodies of several of his presumed victims have never been found. Many investigators believe Ridgway was responsible for more deaths than he claims.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cases of missing and murdered young women in Washington state, which they believe may be tied to Ridgway. If they can prove he was responsible for any murders outside of King County, he could be prosecuted and face the death penalty. No charges have been filed against anyone in Jackson's disappearance, but foul play is suspected.
