    Details of Disappearance

Mildred was last seen by her parents at their farm in Mankato, Minnesota on May 31, 1976. She and her husband, Ronald Roche, left to go back to their own home in Fargo, North Dakota, and she has never been heard from again. Ronald said she left him after he told her he wanted a divorce. He said she packed two suitcases, an overnight bag, some cash, and some traveler's checks totaling three to four thousand dollars. He stated she called him from Boston, Massachusetts in August 1976 and he thought she might be living there, but police could find no evidence to support this.

In 1996 police questioned Ronald about Mildred's case again and dug up the backyard of his residence. They found nothing of interest, however, and charges have never been filed against anyone in Mildred's case. Since her disappearance she hasn't had her prescription refilled. Her disappearance remains unsolved. Fargo police are investigating.
