Details of Disappearance Meaders was last seen at a hair salon on Sharon Amity Road in Charlotte, North Carolina on June 17, 2016. She was with Timothy Lavaun Crumitie at the time. She has never been heard from again. Her car was found that summer in a park near Mooresville, North Carolina, with possible body fluids inside it.
Crumitie, a minister, has a long criminal record, including convictions for insurance fraud, armed robbery and possession of stolen goods. He was charged in murder in 2005, but the case was later dropped for insufficient evidence. In August 2016, he was charged with murder, attempted murder, burglary, kidnapping, and possession of a firearm by a felon after he shot Michael Gretsinger and his fiancee, Kimberly Cherry.
Gretsinger was killed. Cherry, shot twice in the back of the head head, survived by playing dead. She is Meaders's mother, and she had dated Crumitie periodically before she started seeing Gretsinger. In February 2018, Crumitie was convicted of all charges and sentenced to life in prison without parole.
It's unclear whether he is a suspect in Meaders's case, as little information has been released about her disappearance. Her disappearance remains unsolved.
