  • Distinguishing Characteristics African-American male. Black hair, brown eyes. Quarles had a goatee at the time of his disappearance, and styled his hair in medium-length dreadlocks. He has the following tattoos: the outline of two baby feet on the left side of his chest, a recent unspecified tattoo on his right forearm, and unspecified tattoos on his left shoulder and left arm. Quarles's nickname is Mane.

Details of Disappearance

Quarles was last seen in Pendleton, South Carolina between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. on April 20, 2015. He left a residence on Woodhaven Drive and got into a white Dodge pickup truck driven by a Caucasian man. He was possibly en route to Anderson, South Carolina. He never returned. On April 29, authorities located the pickup Quarles was last seen riding in. There was blood in the truck and it was later matched to Quarles's DNA.

In January 2019, Kerry Eugene Cobb was charged with Quarles's murder. A photo of him is posted with this case summary. Little information has been released about the evidence against him. Cobb is awaiting trial in Quarles's case. His body has not been found.

Quarles left behind two young sons. His disappearance is out of character and family is concerned for his well-being. His case remains unsolved.
