Samuel disappeared from Columbia, South Carolina on March 7, 2004. In February 2005, her car was found in a ditch on South Beltline Boulevard between Plowden Road and Shop Road in Columbia. Samuel's skeletal remains were a short distance away. The cause of her death has not been determined and it remains under investigation.
