  • Medical Conditions Paulikas was in the advanced stages of early-onset Alzheimer's Disease when she disappeared. Her cognitive abilities were that of a four-year-old's, she had trouble understanding people and she had lost most of her spoken vocabulary.
  • Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian female. Graying light brown hair, blue eyes. Paulikas's ears are pierced. She wears eyeglasses. She is of Lithuanian descent.

Details of Disappearance

Paulikas was last seen in Manhattan Beach, California at 3:00 p.m. on October 15, 2016. She wandered away while she and her family were visiting the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and was last seen on the security video walking west near Wilshire Boulevard and McCarthy Vista, three blocks from the museum. An extensive search of the area turned up no indication of her whereabouts. Paulikas was in good physical shape and could have walked a considerable distance without getting tired. She has never been heard from again.

Paulikas has a bachelor's degree from the University of California at Davis, and a master's degree in computer science from the University of California at Los Angeles. She is a certified pilot, loves animals, and she enjoyed hiking, backpacking and international travel before she became sick. Her family believes she may be homeless, or may be a Jane Doe patient in a hospital or long-term care facility. Her case remains unsolved.
