  • Clothing/Jewelry Description A green and blue tank top, blue jeans, size 9 1/2 pink cowboy boots with square toes, rings on her ring finger and index finger, and possibly a silver chain necklace. Possibly carrying a large brown leather purse with a shoulder strap.
  • Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian female. Red hair, brown eyes. Pankey's navel is pierced, her ears are pierced multiple times, and her tongue was previously pierced. She wears eyeglasses or contact lenses. She has a scar above her right eyebrow and a tattoo of the astrological symbol for cancer on her right hip. She may spell her middle name "Laree" or use the name Shawnta Pankey Riddle.

Details of Disappearance

Pankey was last seen in Idaho County, Idaho on April 15, 2018. She and her boyfriend, Edward M. Mills, left at 2:30 a.m. to go camping. They set up their campsite at the Pine Bar campgrounds on the Salmon River at approximately 10:00 a.m.

Mills stated stated they got into a verbal disagreement and Pankey walked away from the campsite. She may have been seen walking up Rice Creek Road, three miles from the Salmon River. She didn't have a cellular phone or vehicle at the time of her disappearance. She has never been heard from again.

Pankey's mother found out she was missing at 3:30 p.m., when Mills texted her to ask if she'd seen Pankey. Her mother asked him what was going on, but Mills didn't give her any more information. She had been caring for Pankey's young daughter, and Pankey was supposed to pick the child up at 5:00 p.m. She never did.

Investigators believe it's possible Pankey met with foul play. An extensive search of the area turned up no indication of her whereabouts, and her case remains unsolved.
