Styer disappeared from Huron, South Dakota on June 26, 1995. In July 2008, his car was found in Ravine Lake with his body inside. There was no indication of foul play. Although the death investigation is still ongoing, authorities believe Styer accidentally drove into the lake on the night of his disappearance.
