Details of Disappearance
Raymond was last seen in Jasper, Texas on October 4, 2004. He was walking west on U.S. Highway 190 in front of McDonald's Mobile Homes at the time. He has never been heard from again. Prior to his disappearance, he had told his family he planned to travel to Houston, Texas or to Florida to find work.
He has not contacted them since; neither has he been arrested or received state benefits anywhere in the country since his disappearance. An extensive search across the southern United States has turned up no sign of him. It's uncharacteristic of him to be out of touch with his family.
At the time of her Raymond's disappearance, he was separated from his wife Beverly and living with his father, and he and Beverly were in the process of a divorce. A photo of her is posted with this case summary. Beverly disappeared in August 2007, almost three years after her husband. On September 1, her body was found in a field in Orange, Texas; her death was ruled a homicide and remains unsolved.
Authorities do not believe Raymond's disappearance and Beverly's murder are related, but both cases remain open.
