Details of Disappearance
Mercado disappeared from San Bernardino, California on October 9, 2014. In August 2022, his remains were found in a "makeshift tomb" at his former home on East Davidson Street, where he lived with his girlfriend, Trista Spicer, at the time of his death.
Spicer has been arrested and charged with Mercado's murder. She is awaiting trial.
