Details of Disappearance

Burris was last seen getting into a black passenger vehicle, possibly a Honda or Toyota, near her home in the 100 block of Lake Montonia Road in Kings Mountain, North Carolina on April 19, 2021. The driver was a black male with messy hair and a black goatee.

That day, Burris's aunt remembered she sat outside their home with a duffel bag of clothes and a teddy bear, as if she was expecting someone to pick her up. She has never been heard from again. Her family reported her missing on April 28. She lived with her mother and aunt at the time of her disappearance, but no one in her family saw her leave; the witness who saw her getting into the car was a family friend.

She left behind a daughter, who had just started college when her mother disappeared. The person and vehicle who picked her up have not been identified. The circumstances of Burris's case are unclear; her disappearance remains unsolved.
