• Distinguishing Characteristics Native American male. Brown hair, green eyes. Murguia-Martinez had a goatee at the time of his disappearance, and he wears eyeglasses. He has scars on his neck and right ankle, and a birthmark on his left forearm. Murguia-Martinez is a member of the Hopland Band of the Pomo Indians.

Details of Disappearance

Murguia-Martinez was last seen at his home in the 700 block of Village Circle in Ukiah, California on February 14, 2024. He left on foot after dinner. He had been drinking and his mother didn't want him to leave. She tried to follow him, then returned home and got in her car and drove around looking for him, but she couldn't find him. He has never been heard from again.

The following evening, his family discovered a suicide note, then also realized Murguia-Martinez had taken a 9mm pistol when he left home. He also took his phone, but it was turned off after his disappearance. According to his family, Murguia-Martinez had not shown any indications of mental illness or suicidal thinking prior to his disappearance. His case remains unsolved.
