Garnett was last seen leaving his place of employment in Estate Barren Spot in Christiansted on St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands at 11:30 a.m. on February 20, 2003. He was driving a faded black two-door 1994 Honda Civic Del Sol with tinted windows at the time. He was supposed to meet someone at a McDonald's restaurant in Ville La Reine. He has never been heard from again and his vehicle is also missing.

Garnett frequented the areas of Clifton Hill and and the John F. Kennedy housing project at the time of his disappearance. Few details are available in his case.
