Details of Disappearance
Donna was last seen in Acworth, Georgia on April 26, 1983. She lived with her family in a mobile home paark that bordered Interstate 75.
The day before her disappearance, she was stung by a bee on the bus ride to school. She had an allergic reaction and a teacher took her home, then she called an ambulance because the bee sting was "driving her crazy." Her family took her to the hospital, where she proceeded to have a series of rages and apparent psychotic behavior, saying something was killing her and she needed help.
Although a mental health expert was notified, Donna was not admitted to the hospital. Her family took her home, and the next day in the early morning hours she kept screaming. She disappeared at about 5:00 a.m.
An extensive search of the area turned up no sign of Donna, and police stated they were very concerned for her due to the state of health. She wasn't wearing shoes when she disappeared and she left her medicine behind. Her case remains unsolved.
