Details of Disappearance

Tomassi was last seen at the Quilted Giraffe, the restaurant she owned with her husband on south U.S. 1 in Vero Beach, Florida, on March 16, 2018. She walked away from the business at 5:40 p.m. and has never been heard from again. Her husband realized she was missing and began searching for her twenty minutes later.

She got into the passenger side of a white truck near south Vero Square after leaving the Quilted Giraffe. A photo of the truck, as taken from security footage of the area, is posted with this case summary. The video showed the driver rolling down the window and speaking to Tomassi before she got inside the truck, after which it pulled away.

Police would like to speak to anyone who remembers seeing a white truck in the vicinity at around the time Tomassi disappeared, as they want to identify the driver. They believe the truck had seen been in the area several times before she went missing.

Tomassi had been known to leave the restaurant before to visit the nearby Family Dollar store, but she's never gone very far or stayed away very long before. Her husband sold the restaurant after her disappearance and the building was torn down. Foul play is not suspected in her case, but it remains unsolved.
