Details of Disappearance

Heather disappeared from her grandmother's home in Modesto, California on January 15, 2005. The day she went missing, she was spending the night at her grandmother's in Modesto. Sometime during the evening, she left the house and never returned. Authorities believe she left of her own accord, but her family doesn't think she would have gone this long without contact, even if she had run away.

She is from Colorado. The summer prior to her disappearance, she had spent the summer at a relative's home in Merced, California with her older sister. She was close to her sister, and her sister stated Heather had been spending time with older people and getting into trouble. At the end of the summer, Heather's sister returned to Colorado and Heather remained in California.

Ripon, California police are investigating her case.
