Details of Disappearance

Tennison was last seen in Aitkin, Minnesota on October 15, 1992. He disappeared while hunting with his father and a friend in the Savanna State Forest. The hunting party separated, with Tennison's father and the friend going south while Tennison went north. They were supposed to meet back up at the truck at 4:00 p.m., but Tennison never showed up and has never been heard from again.

Tennison left his wallet, identification, pistol and compass behind at his family's hunting shack. When he went missing he was carrying a brand new Remington 870 Express 12-gauge shotgun with the serial number A442608M. An extensive search turned up no indication of his whereabouts.

On the day of his disappearance it was raining, and that evening as the temperature dropped the rain turned to snow. Tennison's father believes his son got lost and, without shelter, froze to death on the night of his disappearance. His body has never been found.
