Details of Disappearance

Washington was last seen in Columbia, Missouri on October 15, 2022. That morning he had a minor seizure. He spoke to his wife at 9:30 a.m. and said he was going to drop their children off at a relative's house if he continued to feel sick. He did subsequently do this. At 1:30 p.m., he had another seizure and when he regained awareness, he no longer recognized his stepson.

Following the second seizure, Washington got up and walked out of his residence at Columbia Square Apartments. He was last seen walking near West Middle School on Clinkscales Road. A photo of him at that location is posted with this case summary. He has never been heard from again.

Washington had moved to Columbia in early October the year he disappeared, in order to get a better education for his eight children, the youngest of whom was two years old at the time. He had previously spent his entire life in the St. Louis, Missouri area.  In December 2022, his seven-year-old daughter and four-year-old granddaughter were killed in a fire at Columbia Square Apartments which also displaced his family.

Washington's case remains unsolved.
