Details of Disappearance

Hoang was last seen in Arlington, Washington on March 30, 2025. At 7:30 a.m. he said goodnight to his father. He said he didn't feel well and asked if he could stay home from school the next day; he was enrolled in an adult transitional program at Weston High School in Arlington. His father told him if he still wasn't feeling well in the morning he could stay home.

At 6:40 a.m. the next day, his mother realized he was missing when she went to wake him up. Hoang left home during the night without telling anyone and without taking his wallet, phone, jacket or shoes; he only took his iPad, a pair of earbuds, and the slip-on shoes his mother wore for gardening. This is uncharacteristic of his behavior; he normally kept to a strict routine. He normally went for walk in the neighborhood, but only in the daytime, and he never deviated from his walk route.

He may have been sighted on security footage at three homes on South Juanita in Kirkland, Washington on June 23, almost two months after his disappearance. Hoang's family members, teachers and speech language pathologist all identified the person on the camera as Hoang. The man in the video footage appeared to be lost, but was clean and well groomed.

Hoang's family believes he was lured away from his home on the night of his disappearance by some other person. His case remains unsolved.
