Details of Disappearance

Sorrell was last seen in Fort Defiance, Arizona at 11:30 p.m. on July 4, 2002. She lived in Navajo, New Mexico, but was visiting the Navajo Reservation in Fort Defiance that evening. She had dinner with her husband in Gallup, New Mexico and afterwards, he says he dropped her off at her office at the Window Rock Unified School District. She has never been heard from again.

Sorrell's family doubts her husband's story, because Sorrell's office keys were later found at her home. Her family stated the couple's relationship was toxic and Sorrell had left him before, but would always return because her husband told her she could not take their three children with her. Her husband is described as an avid hunter and scout.

Her case remains unsolved.
