Details of Disappearance

Downey was last seen collecting his overnight bag for an appointment at the Audie Murphy Veterans Affairs hospital in San Antonio, Texas on November 19, 1992. His wife said she was in another room when he left their home to keep the appointment. He planned to go fishing after it was over.

A friend was supposed to drop Downey off at the hospital at 9:00 p.m. Downey never kept the appointment and has never been heard from again.
