Roof was last seen on April 15, 1994 leaving her mother's home in a mobile home park on east Avenue I in Lancaster, California. She has never been heard from again.

Roof led a risky lifestyle at the time of her disappearance. She had been involved with drugs since age 13 and associated with criminals, but her loved ones stated she was not the kind of person who would leave without telling anyone.
