Armstrong disappeared from Moline Acres, Missouri on February 28, 2015. In February 2020, his skull was found partially covered in dirt near a creek bed, near Castle Park Drive in Normandy, Missouri. It was identified in February 2022. Armstrong's death is still under investigation.
