Details of Disappearance

Jasmin disappeared with her sister, Elizabeth Lisa Ramos, and their mother, Marina Ramos, from Bakersfield, California on August 1, 1989.

In December 1989, Marina's nude body was found off Highway 93 in Dolan Springs, Arizona. She had been murdered and had been dead for only a matter of hours. There was no sign of Elizabeth or Jasmin, and Marina's remains were not identified until December 2022. Only after her body was identified did the authorities realize her children were missing.

In September 2025, the children were identified. The two girls had been found abandoned in a park restroom in Oxnard, California on December 14, 1989, placed in protective custody and later adopted by a California couple. Their true identities were verified with DNA. No arrests have been made in their mother's murder.
